Meet the Real Bogie: The Cat Behind Bogie in a Human World

People often ask me where the idea for Bogie in a Human World came from. The answer is simple: it all started with my cat, Bogie.  

Bogie is now eleven years old, and he’s been my companion, critic, and silent observer since I adopted him around 2020.  He doesn’t just live with me—he watches me. Every move I make, every word I say, Bogie is there, eyes wide and unblinking, as if he’s analyzing it all and taking notes for later.

Sometimes I catch him staring at me with this expression that says: “Really? That’s your plan?” It’s both hilarious and a little unsettling. Over time, I started imagining what might be going through his head. That’s when the idea was born: what if Bogie could talk—and what if he told the world exactly what he thinks about humans?
